Monday round @ Devens
I had to go to LS to get Joy after rugby practice, 6:30 and with all the roads closed due to flooding I was not looking forward to rush hour on route 2. So instead of waiting until it was about time I drove right out to Devens at 4pm when I left work. This way I could fly through a practice round and then head back against traffic to the high school. Worked like a charm. Still a bit slow going through Concord but after you pass the prison it was clear sailing.
The course was busy on a sunny and breezy day. I think I played through six groups before I was done. The round was decent except for a couple holes. On three I struggled and then again on six where I had a six.Wind played with putts throughout the round. I met a couple new players who were throwing putters and played the last couple holes with them. I am horrible with names but I think one was James and I don't remember the other. I gave them some free plastic at the end of the round.
Traffic back was a easy as pie and the rest of the day was great. Good golf, good people equals a good day.
