Borderland Staurday with sister Lee

More practice for me this time with sister Lee. We met about 10am before the heat of the day got too bad. A friendly truck driver name Todd attached himself to us for a round on the white course. Starting at hole 5 I had the bad luck of going out of bounds on my second shot on eight and then taking a circle four. I let it get in my head too. That is something I do not really do often any more but this time I turned the next hole into a nightmare, after a great drive I four putted for a five and was battling out of the hole from there on. I did well enough too but still after getting as far as -2 I bogied 18, 1, and 2 leaving the course eventually with a 56. Lee struggled all through the first round with a dismal 76. I have not seen her so on the trees in a long time. Todd was talkative and a bit too helpful but he had some game and played the course for a 53. It was a shame he came up from the south because I probably would have given him a ride back to his truck if it was north of borderland instead of south.
As we have done in the past Lee and I took the 45 minutes to run a second round. That we did. Picking three discs and jogging between throws. Lee called today to say she was really sore from it but we needed the second round. It went very well too. You get into a nice rhythm and the game play actually better than the first round. Lee kicked her game up a notch and shot a 66 while I rolled in with a very respectable 49.
