Wednesday League at Devens.

Yesterday was league night at Deven Disc Golf. I came into the week with the #17 tag and was weary of the weather and the format. It was in the fifties and there was drizzly clouds that could become rain. The format was 3 discs only, the "3D Challenge" I thought long and hard about what discs to use but in the end took a Sidewinder, Roc and my putter. John let me pick who I wanted to play with so I went with Him and Pete Tolvanen. I figured playing with guys who are clearly better than me could help me raise my game a bit. It work! I played fairly well and finished with a 59. It was the second best score of the day and good for the number 6 tag.

I continued the topic I wrote about in my last entry and talked with John and Pete about whether we should give a rats ass about people moving up and down divisions in a season. Pete made a good point, saying sometimes the course either fits or does not fit your style of play, he moves up or down sometimes just because of this. His basic rule is that he wants to feel like he is competing, that if he plays well know matter what division he has a shot at the top five. If he plays his best that he has a shot at winning. I can't remember what Jon said; he is a quiet guy.
