Catching Up!

West Thompson Open - Came in fourth at my first try in this tourney. Great day for golf sunny and warm. Pattern developing where I have a lead and after a bad hole do not have a good one to stop the bleeding. I think it is trying too hard to make something good happen. In this case I through a tomahawk where I should not have. Remember not to do this in the wind. Did get the 3 tag from the Devens guys who were there, best score out of us.

Amesbury Pines - 1st Place, very consistent throughout the day. I was not spectacular by any means, I don't even think I beat my score from last year, but luckily for me James and Bill Dunne were playing in the Am1 division so the either are better than me. Still I will take the mandatory dunk in the pool after anytime for a rare win.

EMC IV - The day after Amesbury we played Pye Brook and I did start really well holding a 2 throw lead over three others but again melted down. Same scenerio, had stretched the lead to four and then on the 19th 750' hole my drive went out of bounds leaving a tough shot three. I tried to get some distance besides getting on the road and missed. Now the fourth was a pitch to the road. Took an eight, ouch. Still though I am even with the others and go to hole 1 get a three. Stupidly I try something new on hole 2 and go out of bound, putting me 2 strokes down. I continue to be dumb for two more holes before finally righting myself but really just too late. Finished 3 shot off the lead in fourth.

Sunday is Maple Hills which I have not played in a couple years. Great group to play with in the first round, Steve Guiliotis, Mike Saimond and John Fissel. We start on hole 17.
