Catching up!

Well so much has happened since the last post. On July 4th while playing whiffle ball I threw a disc in my back. I had to miss the Sugarbush Summer Slam, but drove up and walked down the mountain course while Joy played it. Had the Cranberry Open the next weekend, so Joy and I drove down to the Dunne's and they were great hosts. We played and I was okay with alot of pain medication to get me through it. Finished fourth and if not for missing two putts on the last two holes that I regularly make I could have been in second. Would have, Could have, Should have...

This week end Elisa and Joy were down Cape Cod, I would have gone but...Oh yeah, I hate the fucking Cape. Not the people mind you just the beach, traffic and anything to do with swimming in the ocean. I do like Burgess and missed the chance to play that course. Instead I headed down to Borderland on Saturday and played the white course, that rhythm you get when playing alone is great and I shot a 50 (-4). Felt fairly good but was interested how I would feel the next day when I was going to play Devens.

Hooked up for a round, with a couple guys with my stiff but not too sore body. on Sunday in Devens. I played fairly well although that fucking hole sixteen can kiss my fat ass. It just sucks,there is no consistent way to use skill to do well at that hole, it is just luck. Still besides that hole I was happy to get a 60 and go home feeling sort of good.

This work week has been tough tough with the back not liking the amount of sitting I have had to do.I keep stretching though and doing the back exercises. I invested some of my winning in a bunch of lighter discs to try to help out the elbow problem but really what I need is a new arm.

We will see how the play goes in the Green Mountain Open.
